This is the largest commercial to residential conversion in the history of Chicago. The building is a massive 600,000 square feet, rising to 21 floors, and the scope of work included not just the civil works for concrete, parking structure etc., but included vertical transportation, chilled water air conditioning system, individual heating system, sprinklers, fire alarm, and fire protection, Siamese connection, plumbing risers, and unit plumbing, electrical work for common areas, and units, tunnel ventilation system for underground tunnel (2 kilometers only), heat recovery ventilation, and VRF system, unit construction of kitchens and baths, new flooring, rooftop deck, new windows, new roof, and all low voltage items such as internet, cable, TV, security system.
The scope involved not just installation, but design, testing, commissioning, and quality check, and final hand over to the owner.
This project won an unprecedented 10 awards for quality construction, innovative design, and unique construction methods.
